Home to Virginia...

Savannah and I made our way home today after a brief stop in Middle Georgia to visit with friends on Sunday.
I had a wonderful lunch with several friends from my years in Macon and then Savannah and I went over to the Nelson-Duncan residence for a little play time with Delia and her mom, Heather. The girls seemed to have a lot of fun and it was nice for Heather and I to have some time to catch up... I didn't realize how much time had flown by until I got to thinking about it afterwards.
Savannah and I then went down to Warner Robins and had dinner with friends Charlie and Angie... it was nice to catch up a little (and the food at Sonny's can't be beat either).
I finished the night up (Savannah was conked out by then) by watching 'Desperate Housewives' with friends Andy and Don. I missed the first 30 minutes, but enjoyed crashing the party and watching the show with the two of them.
We finished our visit with breakfast at Steak-N-Shake... a favorite hangout of mine and Andy's in my single days. I never dreamed that I would bring my daughter back there and feed her at the same booth where I talked trash about the job during many late night junk food sessions!
We had another great flight... this time Savannah fell asleep while we were taxiing down the runway and woke up when I tried to put her in the stoller as we got off the plane. The man sitting in front of us even commented on how good she was during the flight.
Pat met us at the gate with a big smile and six beautiful roses... and I have never been so happy to be home to my wonderful husband and great home.
I've been really blessed with a great family and set of friends and am continuing to be amazed every day by the love that is given to us.

The roses are the sweetest thing yet. I know how much he missed his girls. Love, Mom
