I have a lot to do to get ready for Savannah's birthday party on Sunday. I've done most of the grocery shopping, but I still have a short list of things to buy for the party.
The menu for Sunday's party is:
Ham and cheese quiche
Asparagus casserole (a Fitzgerald family party staple)
Potato and corn salad
Pasta salad (thanks to my sister-in-law Sharon)
Crab Louie (another Fitzgerald family party staple)
Spinach and artichoke dip
Veggie tray
Fruit tray
cake and ice cream
Keep in mind that Savannah will be the only child at the party... so the food doesn't have to be kid-friendly.
Everyone keeps telling me that the first birthday party is actually for the parents anyway... to celebrate that we actually survived the first year of child rearing.
Savannah and I will be up early tomorrow so we can get to the grocery store and then back home in time to see Pat before he goes to work. We have several stops to make before we pick her cake up from the bakery.
Wish me luck because these recipes are new to me.

Hmm the spinch dip, aps. caasarole and potatoe and corn salad sound interesting! You are going to have to share the recipes!
Good luck with all that! Sounds a bit complicated for my speed of cooking :) I know you'll do it up right though.
