Taking a walk....

Pat and I took the kids for a walk around Mom and Dad's neighborhood this evening after gorging on a wonderful dinner. We strapped Julius in the stroller and let Savannah walk to burn off some of her toddler, candy-infused energy.
Here are some pictures that I took at the middle school grounds near Mom and Dad's house... Savannah had a blast with her Daddy and climbing the bleachers.

Easter 2009

We traveled down to Virginia Beach Saturday night to spend Easter with Mom and Dad Fitzgerald. We slept a little later than I planned (after the Easter bunny's helper got up during the middle of the night and put together two baskets)... so by the time all of us were up and going it was time for breakfast.
Savannah was sitting in her high chair when she noticed the basket killed with Wiggles items and a Mickey Mouse coloring book... and she got into it before I could take a picture.
Here are some pictures of our day... I'm probably going to post another round because there are so many good ones to choose from. I also have a video to post of her actual egg hunt... she saw Pat hiding them outside so there was no use telling her it was the Easter bunny.

Savannah and I made an Easter bunny cake to take to Virginia Beach tonight. We're going down to visit Grammy and Papa and celebrate egg day with them.
A bunny cake was an Easter tradition when I was a kid... my sister, Shannon, started making it and then my sister, Lynn, took over in recent years.
I frosted the cake (and refrosted a few places after Savannah stuck her finger in a few times) and Savannah put the jelly beans on the bowtie.
She's a good helper... although I ended up a little frustrated by all of the attempts to get at the frosting.

Mama and her little man...

Heather took these pictures today as Julius and I joined everyone outside to enjoy the nice evening.
My little guy is getting big... so he won't be a baby anymore. He can pretty much hold his head up and has started smiling at you when you hold.
He's such a sweet little boy!

Watch my two master decorators at work... Savannah likes to do things in her own time! They had a blast and both ended up with green fingers.
