Little Man Walking, Part 2...

I just realized that I didn't post a video we took over the weekend of Julius walking from the kitchen into the living room.
It's amazing to me that he's already walking as Savannah didn't really walk on her own until after her first birthday. I know that every child is different and Julius has an inspiration in his big sister, but it's scary to see how fast he's growing!

Julius at 11 months...

I can't believe that Julius is already 11 months old! Where has the time gone?
He's now up and walking on his own and I catch him walking from room to room with no trouble at all. It's scary to think how fast he's moving in the growth chart... he's now about half a head shorter than Savannah and just a few pounds lighter... it won't be long before he's bigger than she is.
Here are a few pictures I took of Julius as he sat on my lap yesterday... he's getting so big!

Visit to Pen Park...

Savannah and I joined some friends at Pen Park on Monday... the first day in a long time that we had decent weather. There were a lot of parents and children enjoying the nice day (temps were actually in the high 50s) and I was able to use my new camera to take some cool shots.
As you can see, Savannah wasn't having any part of smiling at the camera... she did ask me to take her picture when I put the camera away.
We had a nice time with our friends Jocelyn and Aidan (although Aidan wouldn't let me take a photo of him either).

Visit to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Tom's House..

Speaking of the big storm, we finally got a chance to visit Aunt Kathy and Uncle Tom after having to cancel our pre-Christmas visit because we were all snowed in at our respective houses (and Pat was stranded in Charlottesville).
We had a nice visit and I took a few great pictures... didn't take all of the pictures I wanted to, but that's because time always gets away from me.
I realized today when I got the camera out to take a picture of Savannah that I had not downloaded the great pictures from our visit. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon.

Our front yard - a month later

Pat took these photos of our yard earlier this week... and the snow is still here. I can look out and see snow on rooftops and yards all along our street... which doesn't seem possible since we haven't had real snow flurries since the week before Christmas.
I guess time flies, but the white stuff stays behind.
Can you tell I'm ready for spring?

The Fitzgeralds- The Younger Years

This week on Facebook is Retro Week and everyone is encouraged to dig out old photos and put them on their page. I pulled these off our iPhoto page and wanted to share them as I think our children are a perfect mixture of the two of us.
Pat says Savannah looks like him and Julius looks like me... but I think they are a good blend of the two of us.

Little Man Walking...

Julius, who officially turns 11 months old on the 18th, has started walking on his own. He can take about six or seven steps and usually runs into some sort of clutter on the floor (or gets too excited) when he falls over and gives into crawling.
I captured a few photos yesterday and will be getting the old camera (which has video on it) out so I can actually capture him taking a few steps.
We don't have any babies in the Fitzgerald house... although it's a little sad, it's nice to see both of my children coming into their own.
